The Saga of Solid Snake AMV - Metal Gear Saga

Note: Watch in "High Quality", when available. A tribute to one of my all-time favorite video game series, Metal Gear. This video spans the history of Metal Gear from the original MSX release all the way up to the recently released Guns of the Patriots for the PS3. A few omissions are obviously present, namely the handheld versions that all reside within a fictional "What if?" universe (with the exception of MGS Portable Ops that chronologically falls after Snake Eater) as well as Snake's Revenge, largely because it is widely received by everyone involved in the series (including creator Hideo Kojima) to be non-canon and not an official MG title. The only problem I ran into with this video was running out of time to properly focus MGS4, resulting in a small after-video featuring a different music set. I was weary about doing this at first, but ultimately feel it pays off. As far as a personal favorite, the candidate without question is MGS3: Snake Eater. The game took everything to the next level and utilized the PS2 to it's absolute potential, all the while creating the perfect backdrop for the series to come that a long-standing franchise prequel should achieve. Clips, as always, are taken from GameTrailers.com. Major thanks is given to their "Metal Gear Retrospective" series, for providing HD quality clips of pre-MGS2 titles. Music featured: "Metal Gear Saga" by Harry Gregson-Williams, MGS series composer "Rising Empire" by Immediate Music, best remembered as the trailer theme from "X3: The Last Stand"
